When visiting Back Care Chiropratic you’ll notice the calm relaxing enviroment includes large graphics. Dr. Williams often uses visual displays of the nerve and skeletal system to explain adjustment on an anatomical level. This visualization provides patients with an understanding of the amazing way the body works.

The office features flat-bench head-tilt adjusting tables and a table with drop pieces for special techniques. The office also includes intersegmental traction tables (rolling machines). These devices feature an adjustable roller to massage muscle tissue, ligaments and tendons (the soft tissues that hold the spine together). The traction machines feel pretty good, and separate the spinal segments, hydrating the discs by soaking up fluid from the surrounding tissue. It is common for clients to use the traction machines before they are adjusted. Dr. Williams likes to lay on them personally (daily if he can). The massage tables are available for use during business hours. Walk-in use is available, with exception of those who have an appointment, they come first.
Physical therapy equipment includes interferential-current machines (electrical pads). These machines are used for patients in acute pain. The electrical pads do three things; 1-contract and relax the muscles, 2-push swelling out of the tissue and back in the bloodstream, and 3-the frequency of the current is set so that it stimulates the production of endorphins and enkephalons (which is like natural opium) in the area. The electrical therapy usually feels pretty good and assists preparing a patient for adjustment. This therapy is for acute pain.

The x-ray camera in the office is used to provide diagnostic information on what may be causing the symptoms of a client and to provide a full picture of the entire spine. Pictures are developed on site and kept on file and assist the doctor in his diagnosis and recommendations to improve a patients health.
